1. What equipment and paper are photos printed on?
All prints and photo gifts are ordered from EZPrints via smugmug.com, our gallery hosts.
You can read here why EZPrints was chosen over several other providers.
EZprints uses Fuji Frontier printers and Fuji chemicals on Crystal Archive paper.
So do other services, such as Shutterfly and even Wal-Mart, but equipment and paper were not the deciding factor in choosing the EZPrints service. Read the article on how the different providers were put in a shootout by smugmug to choose the most desired results.
2. What is your return policy?
We have gone through great pains to find the best print provider. We are confident that you will be very satisfied with your order and smugmug will refund or replace any order, for any reason. We are determined to make using Dodger Digital and Smugmug as easy and enjoyable as possible
3. Do you have a price list?
When you add a picture to your shopping cart, the price is based on size and type of finish (lustre finish is slightly more expensive than Gloss or Matte). If you have ever used shopping carts in the internet, you know they work like a shopping cart at the grocery store. You can put an item into the cart and either put it back on the shelf or buy it. We suggest that you add all of the pictures you might want into the cart, make your final decision at checkout and delete the ones you don't want.
We maintain a price list here but it is not guaranteed to be up to date. The prices in the shopping cart are the most current.
4. How long will it take to get my order?
Print orders are shipped within 2 business days. Photo gifts can take a few days longer. If you do not receive your order in a timely manner (10 days or more) please e-mail us with your order number from smugmug and we will investigate.
5. How long will the picture galleries remain online?
Usually a couple of weeks after traffic to a particular gallery has ceased. All images will remain on hard disk in our office until they are finally archived onto DVD's. If you know the date, team name, and any other information that will help locate the gallery, we can always re-post the pictures for reprints up to 5 years layer.
6. Is what you do legal?
Our position is that we are within our legal rights to photograph people participating in athletic events, solicited or unsolicited.
This .pdf document was written by an attorney and is widely available on the web that explains what is and is not acceptable.
All of the athletic events we cover, whether they are held on public or private property, are open to the public . Schedules and results are announced in the media. Sometimes admission is charged. Therefore, as long as we follow the rules set forth by the hosting organization, we have the right, as a member of the media, to be there and document the event.
HOWEVER:
We live in this community, too. We will never intentionally publish any image that may embarrass or humiliate. We scrutinize all images before posting, editing where necessary, giving consideration to all subjects involved. No pictures are downloadable or able to be right-click saved to a computer's storage. Still, some image you find questionable may unintentionally slip through. In that event, please send us and e-mail or give us a call and we will gladly remove the photograph. Have a look at our Picture Removal Policy.
We also support youth athletics.
For youth athletic events, 10% of the proceeds from print sales for a particular event is donated to the League or Association sanctioning the event. Have your Treasurer contact us for details.
